CLUB STANDARDS & ETIQUETTE

INDIANAPOLIS PICKLEBALL CLUB POLICIES.

To ensure a safe, welcoming, and fair experience for every member and guest across IPC East, IPC South, and IPC North, please review our official club policies below.

Arriving Early

Players must not arrive more than 15 minutes early to any event, reservation, or program. Players arriving more than 15 minutes early may be asked to stay in the lobby or lounge. Players may warm up 15 minutes before their program begins if court space allows. Players who want court access more than 15 minutes early must reserve a court.

Arriving Late

Late arrivals inconvenience other players and affect instructional programming. Players who arrive more than 20 minutes late to any open play or instructional program will be marked as a no-show and may be charged a cancellation fee.

Cancellations & Fees

Full refunds are granted when players cancel within the acceptable window: Open Play (1 hour in advance), Court Reservation (2 hours in advance), League (Opt out 2 hours in advance), Class / Clinic / Assessment / Mini-Tourney / DUPR (12 hours in advance). Cancellations after these windows are charged the full regular price of the program (e.g., $15 for Open Play).

Equipment & Paddles

Outdoor balls are available for player use on each court. Players may borrow demo paddles during staffed office hours by providing an ID or car keys as collateral. Reservations outside of office hours do not have access to demo paddles.

Court Etiquette

Players must treat all staff and players with respect, wait until a point ends to walk behind a court, not loiter near unreserved courts, not question line calls or harass players, not throw paddles or use explicit language, and keep food and non-water beverages off the courts (sealed water bottles are permitted courtside).

Gear & Lounge Storage

Leave bags, coats, and gear on the provided hooks and benches in the Players’ Lounge. During Open Play, water bottles and towels may be placed on court benches/cubbies. Full gear bags may only be brought courtside when you hold a private court reservation.

Leaving Early & No Shows

Players who leave more than 20 minutes early from any open play or instructional program, or fail to attend without canceling in advance, will be marked as a no-show and may be charged a cancellation fee.

Office Hours & 24/7 Door Access

Staffed Office Hours are Mon–Fri 8:30 AM – 8:00 PM and Sat–Sun 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Paid members reserving courts outside office hours receive an access code for the 24-hour door.

Open Play Standards

Players must respect decisions made by the IPC Court Coordinator, use paddle racks only for their registered skill level, and rotate 2-on-2-off (when 1–5 paddles are waiting; winners stay and split). Do not manipulate paddle order to avoid or target specific players.

Court Shoes

Non-marking court shoes are required. Players are strongly encouraged to carry a clean pair of court shoes into the facility—especially during winter and wet weather—to protect our court surfaces.

Verified Ratings

Players must verify their skill rating before registering for Verified Open Play sessions (generally 3.0+). Verify by linking a reliable DUPR account in CourtReserve, emailing a PickleballBrackets.com screenshot to assessment@indianapolispickleballclub.com, or attending a 1-hour IPC Skills Assessment.

Waitlist Policy

When a program reaches capacity, join the waitlist in CourtReserve and opt into "Waitlist - Availability Notice" emails from notifications@courtreserve.com. When a spot opens, all waitlisted players are notified and the first to register claims the spot.
